With less than 63 days to go, fun and excitement will be coming to you live from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas on the first day of SOLIDWORKS World 2016 on January 31st, 2016.
SOLIDWORKS World is the largest annual event of SOLIDWORKS gathering in the world, bringing together an international audience of users and experts from the design and engineering communities. Register today and join your peers as you witness the future of SOLIDWORKS live. This year’s event will feature 224 tech-savvy, breakout sessions for everyone, whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced user. In these sessions you’ll learn new techniques from SOLIDWORKS experts that will help you take your design skills to the next level. Topics will range from design automation and model-based definition (MBD) to simulation and product data management.
Everyone has their own reason for attending SOLIDWORKS World but my main reasons are meeting up old friends and making new one 🙂
The second reason is to hear the Top Ten Ideas and see what coming up in the next release of SOLIDWORKS. Every year SOLIDWORKS users around the world submit their ideas on how SOLIDWORKS software can be improved further to meet their needs and requirements. Users are allowed to submit as many idea as they want. Once Ideas are submitted and deadline to submit ideas is closed, users are requested to vote for best ideas. Based on the voting, top ideas are picked for the SOLIDWORKS World Top Ten list.
The third reason is to witness SOLIDWORKS geeks competing each other in annual SOLIDWORKS Model Mania contest powered by NVIDIA. Model Mania is a SOLIDWORKS modeling contest for the resellers and users held during SOLIDWORKS World. This is a timed event that tests the ability to model a part then make some engineering changes to the model. Usually, each contestant has 20 minutes to model the part and make the changes. Prizes (sponsored by NVIDIA ) are awarded for the top 3 contestants in each category (Resellers and Users).
Finally I can keep myself updated with the latest trends and solutions offered by various partners in the Exhibit Hall.
Another reason to be there: Get SOLIDWORKS Certified at no charge!
When you register to attend SOLIDWORKS World 2016 you get the opportunity to take a Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA), Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWPCORE), or any of the Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional Advanced Specialist exams alongside other SOLIDWORKS users—at no charge!
